It was with the deepest of sadness to be informed of the death of our beloved Queen Elizabeth yesterday.
Throughout her life she had dedicated herself to her country and her people. Despite the many trials and tribulations which she faced, she was our shining example of diginity, bravery and dependency.
Admired throughout the world, she represented her country as a leader whose experience, knowledge and diplomacy was acknowledged and respected. She was the ideal ambassador.
The Queen was our touchstone. She was always there for us.
On her death, we say farewell to the second Elizabethan era. We shall never see her like again but can hope that we will meet again.
