Southport U3A holds General monthly meetings on the first Thursday of each month at 10:00a.m. in Christ Church, Lord Street, Southport. It is open to all members (free) and visitors (on payment of £1, refundable if they join). This is the opportunity to meet group leaders, book trips and outings and keep up-to date with current U3A news. You can also join or renew your membership. Group tables are open and coffee is served until 10:30 when the door will be closed and a guest speaker will give a talk.
The speakers are changed each month and will talk on a variety of subjects. The speaker will then start the formal part of the meeting and when finished the door will be opened again. There will then be a series of announcements about current and upcoming events. The tables may re-open after any group announcements have been completed.
Not all groups have a table at the meeting but those that don’t can be contacted through their group page on this website using the tab above.
