The audience at Christ Church this afternoon were treated to a special occasion, as the Southport u3a choir gave a world premiere performance of their new song.
The song, ‘A Song For Southport’ was written especially for the choir and they hope to soon be able to record it in conjunction with The Atkinson.
In addition to the new song, the choir performed a good mix of upbeat and slower songs, including a beautiful African peace song to mark the continued conflict in the Ukraine.
The performance was well received and thoroughly enjoyed by those present.
