As you are no doubt aware, there are an awful lot of scams around these days, with more appearing every day. We can protect ourselves by never trusting emails unless you are absolutely, 100%, positive that they are from who they say.
I, for one, never click a link in an email from my bank or credit card company. I always go to their website and log in to take whatever action they are asking me to do.
