Southport u3a has an opening for a Business Secretary, to join the Committee, as sadly our current Secretary Brian Muddiman is stepping down.
This role will take a few hours work a week and require attending monthly Committee meetings.
As a Trustee you will be responsible for Policies and Procedures, most already outlined by National u3a. Also, booking Committee Meetings, the AGM and ensuring maintainance and dissemination of records and information. Procedures are already in place but we must regularly review these and ensure all are up to date.
For this role, being a long term u3a member is not essential but a good business background would very useful.
