The Southport u3a Jazz Group are running another film, food and full-on Jazz session on 13th June. This time, the chosen film is the classic ‘Some Like It Hot’, starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon.
This event will take place at the Southport Bijou Cinema, which recently won 3rd place in the Liverpool Tourism Awards (fully deserved). Doors open at 3:30pm and the event ends at 10:00pm.
Included in the ticket price of £35, in addition to Some Like It Hot, is an afternoon tea, served by D’vine. The evening entertainment will be provided by Bruce Adams (trumpet) and Craig Milverton (keyboard). This is a chance to hear some fabulous boogie/blues piano and probably the best trumpet and cornet playing on the planet!
