SEPTEMBER – Monday 14th – Bijou Cinema
An evening where American Jazz blends with the vibrant rhythms of Latin America, Cuba and Brazil. Learn the history and the major artists of the latin craze … watch a talk and videos, and dance in the aisles to the samba, mambo and bossa nova. £30 with a 2 course meal.

Alan Barnes & David Newton
The Top Guns return to the u3a Jazz Club ….. Impeccable Jazz played by the finest saxophonist and pianist in the UK. Alan and Dave have played together frequently since they met as students at Leeds College of Music and their telepathic understanding of each other’s music is evident.

Enrico Tomasso Quartet
Here’s another No. 1 UK musician … the UK’s top jazz trumpeter. Enrico was mentored by Louis Armstrong and his melodic invention and ability to cross jazz modes from New Orleans to bop places him amongst the best.
