A small group from Walking Group 4 did a walk from Downham village (where Whistle Down The Wind was filmed) along to Sawley Abbey. The walk led along the river Ribble up to Chatburn village and then back to Downham for coffee in the local coffee shop outside in the last of the sun.
Lunch was taken in the grounds of the Abbey.
