At this morning’s monthly meeting, Photo group 1 reviewed the results from the Orange And Blue monthly challenge. As usual, it was interesting to see the many different ways the challenge had been achieved.
This month was slightly different in that, in honour of the Southport Flower Show, we had a second theme of ‘Festivals and Parties’. This led to slightly fewer submissions, but again the quality was there.
Following the review of our monthly themes, we covered some new images which had been added to the Favourites gallery and then spent some time discussing image editing.
The theme for September is ‘Monochrome’, with members encouraged to take the photos in colour and convert to monochrome in software, if they are able. That led to demonstrations of how this can be done quite simply, using tools such as MS Photo and Pixlr.
