On 18 October, the Meet and Eat group had a second visit to Chez Moi on Lord Street, Southport. The 24 of us were welcomed warmly by the owner Salvatori and his staff.
For £22.50 we were all treated to a wonderful three course meal. Starters included mussels from Fleetwood and fresh mushrooms, to name just a couple of the items from the first course.
Several of the group opted for the 9oz rump steak for a £5 supplement, which came with chips and a peppercorn sauce. You should have seen the size of it! Luckily, those who were unable to finish it off were able to take the rest home with them as a treat for the following evening.
Most took the dessert option whilst a few opted for coffee. There were profiteroles, cheesecake, apple pie as well as a wonderful salted-caramel chocolate cake.
As usual, the food was very tasty, the staff friendly and efficient. The company was interesting, with plenty of varied conversations around the tables. Everyone had a good time. Even the quiz did not get too many complaints.
