Buxton is a spa town in the Borough of High Peak, Derbyshire. It is England’s highest market town, sited at some 1,000 feet above sea level.
There is much of historical interest in Buxton due to the healing properties of its famous thermal, spa waters, known today and bottled as Buxton Water.
Places of interest include Poole’s Cavern, St Anne’s Well, Buxton Heritage Trail or you can take a guided tour of the town on the unique ‘Wonders of the Peak’ tram. You can also experience the past with one of the Discover Buxton Tours character guides, wander through the Crescent Heritage Experience or head for the Buxton Museum & Arts Gallery to see archaeological artefacts for yourself.
The coach will depart from Southport at 9.30am and will return to Southport at approximately 6.00pm.
The cost will be £12.00 per person. This will include all coach travel and gratuities.
