WG4 Visit Singing Ringing Tree

Singing Ringing Tree

12 members of the Southport U3A Walking Group 4 went on an 8.5 mile walking trip to the Singing Ringing Tree Panopticon, on the moors above Burnley

We started off at the car park at the Clowbridge reservoir and walked up onto the moors via the Rossendale way and the Pennine bridleway, before climbing up to the Singing Ringing Tree.

As the weather was a bit windy, the singing tree was making some sounds, but it would not take any requests!!!

After having lunch at the tree and made our way down passed the reservoir and back to the cars.

An enjoyable walk in good weather, but no café available today alas.
