On Tuesday 02-Dec-2025, 22 members of Walking Group 4 took the train to Cressington station for the walk up to Sudley House and Museum.
On the way up to the house we passed the lovely St Mary terrace buildings plus the buildings of I M Marsh University, now John Moores. We then went into the grounds of Sudley house, with great views over the Mersey and Welsh hills. Sudley house is a little gem and lovely to visit.
The cafe staff had opened the extra room in the cafe for us all to be seated. So after our lunch and a look around the house, which was owned by the Holt shipping family, we made our way to Sefton Park Palm House.
The Palm House was open so we all could get in, but they had a function going on and it was very busy so we just had a stroll through the park in the lovely winter sunshine.
We then went off to Lark Lane, via some beautiful renovated houses in Livingston Drive. At the end of the walk some of the group went for the train, some for the cake shop but 10 of us went to the Green Man pub!
