Jumbles, Wayoh and Entwistle

Walking Group 4 report from a walk to the Jumbles, Wayoh and Entwistle Reservoirs

A group of 15 walkers enjoyed a 7.5 mile walk in glorious weather around Jumbles, Wayoh and Entwistle Reservoirs.

Our walk took us past Turton Tower, originally a pele tower,  which was built when marauding Scots were still a feature of the times and where we stopped to admire the building and a photo taken.

A good stretch of the walk follows the Witton Weavers Way, a 32 mile walk through Lancashire hill county. Jumbles Country Park opened in 1971 and lies within the Bradshaw Valley north of Bolton.

At the end of the walk the group enjoyed ice creams, tea and cake at Jumbles Cafe before taking the scenic journey home
