On the 7th of June 15 members of U3A walking group 4 took part in a walk around the the village of Gisburn.
The weather was warm and no rain.
As we started and passed the cattle auction pens, Rose Case gave a short informative talk about the area.
From there we proceeded through Ribblesdale park and Gisburne park and over Stocks beck.
As we passed under Stock beck viaduct we were presented with a steam train passing in full steam !
We then carried on to the hamlets of Horton green and Horton and then onto Bracewell before climbing up lodge hill and back to Gisburn for Coffee and cake.
Unfortunately when we arrived at the café there was no power so no hot drinks !
