For the 2024 Southport Flower Show, Southport u3a pulled out all the stops. The photos below were taken during the show garden build and show just a small amount of the fantastic amount of work done by our amateur volunteers.
You may already know that the volunteers were rewarded for their efforts with a Large Gold Medal. A fantastic achievement.
Besides all of the hard work involved in the show garden build, members of Southport u3a were busy throughout the show. The garden was manned throughout, welcoming members of the general public and other u3as and also assisting the celebrity chefs in the kitchen. Feedback for all of our efforts was consistently positive and many visitors to Southport, from all over the UK, went away with more knowledge of the u3a.
