Jacky Carter is exploring the idea of a UK Guided Walking holiday with ‘Involved Holidays’ – a company advertising in the U3A magazine. It would be good to gauge interest before advancing any detailed planning.
The break would be 3 or 4 nights in a three or four star hotel, half board, 2 guided walks about 7.5 miles. We are considering travel by coach depending on numbers.
The area is likely to be the Forest of Dean or the Gower peninsular possibly mid-May. Everything could change depending on availability.
Prices appear to be between £325 to £450 and the coach would add extra.
This is open to all U3A members but you must be fit enough to do 8-mile walks. If you are interested in this guided walking holiday, please book on Beacon under Let’s Go walking mini break but this is only to express interest. There is considerable planning to do if this goes ahead. We will see if there is sufficient interest to carry on exploring the venture.
