A small group of U3a members went to see Andre Rieu in his spectacular sell out concert at Liverpool Arena recently.
They travelled into Liverpool by train and had a meal in Mann island beforehand. Then a lovely walk along to the packed Arena. Andre’s special guests on stage were the Wirral pipe band and a gospel choir. Together with the 3 tenors and sopranos, and a delightful piccolo solo, it made for a wonderful evening! A (rare) balmy walk back to the train afterwards, made it a perfect trip.
