Adam Glasser (£30)
South African harmonica virtuoso and Jazz pianist Adam Glasser returns to Southport u3a via Cape Town, UK dates, and Ronnie Scott’s
after winning the 2025 Mzansi Best Traditional SA Jazz Album.
With a repertoire combining township jazz with the Great American songbook, he is ably supported by :

North West Duke Ellington Orchestra (£30)
Formed in 2024, this 15-piece big band brings together Ellington obsessed musicians from across the North West under Musical Director Phil Shotton. It celebrates jazz legend Duke Ellington, performing pieces from his illustrious career …. capturing the excitement and joy of his original compositions.

Chris Bowden Quartet (£30)
Chris Bowden is one of the UK’s great alto sax players – with a sound described as supreme (NME) and scorching, funky and determined (The Guardian). His recording career started in the mid 1990s with his ground-breaking album Time Capsule and he continues to excite audiences everywhere.
