The coach trip group had an enjoyable festive visit to see Christmas at Tatton Park on Saturday 29th November. The theme being ‘Once Upon a Christmas at the Mansion’ – a festive wonderland nestled in the heart of Cheshire.
A celebration of traditional festive tales greeted us at the Christmas ‘Mansion’. Each of the lavish staterooms and servants quarters were beautifully decorated and each room brought to life a different classic story from the season with immersive displays, twinkling lights, and seasonal music. The scenes featured included the Nutcracker, the Snow Queen, Twelve days of Christmas, A Christmas Carol, and many more!
On the day of our visit there was an opportunity to visit a Christmas Gift Fair selling unique gifts, food and crafts not usually found in High Street shops.
We also had the opportunity to wander through the garden at Tatton Park where we discovered a number of distinct areas within its 50 acres, including the Japanese Garden, Italian Garden, Fernery, Kitchen Garden and Tower Garden.
