The hall was packed for Southport u3a’s March meeting and the members attending were rewarded with a highly entertaining performance from acoustic musicians – Fool’s Gold.
Following announcements and a moment of thought for those suffering in the Ukraine crisis, Fool’s Gold took to the stage, to perform ‘Bang Up To The Elephant’. The lively mix of songs and sometimes unusual stories behind them kept the audience entertained and involved. A lot of the Music Hall songs were before my time (no, really), but I think many of those in the hall enjoyed the sing-along.
If you were there and you were wondering about HMS Birkenhead, some of the men did survive.
It was good to see and hear our members enjoying themselves.
