• We shall store securely the information you supply and use it in the following ways:
• To record your membership payments
• To communicate with you as a u3a member
• To share with the leaders of groups which you join
• To share with the organisers of those events, social activities and holidays that you participate in
• To send you information about The Third Age Trust (the national organisation to which all u3as are affiliated)
• To supply you with copies of our on line Newsletter, our Website, and emails which we deem of interest to all our members
• If you have selected “Yes” to Gift Aid, then your details will also be passed to HMRC
At no time will your personal information be shared with companies for marketing or profit
We are required by HMRC to retain Gift Aid records for a period of six years, after which these will be destroyed.
Members details are stored electronically on behalf of Southport u3a by Web Integrate Ltd who ensure protection, backup and confidentiality at least in line with current legislation and good practice
Photographs
Photographs of Southport u3a members may be taken by various people, at events or group meetings and outings, (including other members of Southport u3a). Some of these photographs may appear on our website, newsletters, Facebook site, magazine, press releases, other printed u3a material or occasionally in other media.
If you do not wish to be in a photograph, then please inform the photographer and step away. If youbelieve you have been included in a photograph and do not want that photograph used, please contact the editor at editor@southportu3a.org.uk or any member of the Committee.
