At this morning’s monthly meeting, Southport u3a announced to members that a decision has been made to implement membership functions, integrated with our website, using a system called Simple Membership.
Simple Membership has been developed over the past 10 years, specifically for u3a organisations. It already provides almost all of our requirements and will be enhanced to deal with the remainder. Some of the major benefits for members are:
- Integration with our website
- Clear group-event relationship
- Easy waiting list management
- Online payments
A small working party has been formed, to ensure that the system is fit for purpose prior to implementation. No target date has been set for release, but is expected to be during 2022.
