Many Southport u3a members may not be aware that there is a top concert venue in the little village of Parbold, just a stone’s throw from us. Parbold Village Hall is that venue and is home to Parbold Douglas Music, whose raison d’etre is “To promote and present professional music”.
If the image in your head is of a drafty little room, with folding chairs and an old upright piano, you really do need to take a look at their website! We are not talking about a mere village hall, but a proper auditorium, complete with concert quality Steinway grand piano!
