We have had a very productive Let’s Go planning meeting and have some great events planned for the group. We generated more ideas than we could manage without some additional helpers.
Can you volunteer to carry any of these forward – with full support from the Let’s Go leaders?
We welcome any Southport U3A member to volunteer even if you are not yet in Let’s Go, so if you fancy any of the following events why not help us out?
- Behind the scenes Mersey Tunnels
- Two Cathedrals’ tour
- Behind the scenes Mersey Rail
- Theatre e.g., Philharmonic
- Anfield / Everton Tour
- Outside walk and talk the Anglican Cathedral
- Behind the scenes tour of Royal Court / Playhouse
- Visit to Gillmoss Recycling Centre
- Heritage trail of Lord Street
- Hotter Factory
The principle of the u3a is founded on members helping each other, not just sitting back and letting others do everything for them. Organising an event is easier than you might think, especially as the Let’s Go leaders are happy to give full support and help with the admin. Give it a go, you will have fun and meet new people. In the unlikely event that you do not enjoy helping out, well at least you have tried it.
