The Southport u3a garden at this year’s flower show has attracted a massive amount of attention over the past couple of days. There was a great deal of excitement on Thursday, when the judging results were announced, but that may possibly have been eclipsed by the arrival of a couple of Strictly special visitors on Friday.
Aljaž and Janette, of Strictly Come Dancing fame, arrived at our stand during the morning and were quickly whisked into the garden, for a spot of tea and a quick twirl. They certainly make a handsome couple and there was a mad scramble outside the fence, to get the best position from which to view them.
I don’t think the arrival of members of our Monarchy could have caused any more excitement.
