Local History 1 had a great day out at Birkenhead Priory recently, taking the train to Birkenhead, for lunch at a great cafe, followed by a really interesting visit to the Priory.
Birkenhead priory is partially derelict but still has much intact and lots to see including a small museum. They were guided around by an extremely knowledgable lady bringing the whole trip to life.
Afterwards it was back to the cafe for coffee and cakes!!
