We were blessed with a glorious afternoon for Liz and Keith’s garden book sale. During the last week or so they had received lots of donations of books from members and so their back garden was chock full of a whole variety of books for sale.
All afternoon they had a steady stream of members browsing and buying books as well as taking the opportunity to catch up with friends they had not saw for a long time.
All told it was a very pleasant afternoon and at the end of it they had collected £82 for the u3a funds. Liz and Keith want to thank everyone who donated and who turned up to browse through and buy the books. And thanks go to them for so efficiently organising the sale and allowing us to invade their garden!!
