For those of you who have not booked yet for this very special Djanco Jazz Evening on October 7th – there are still places left. Richard will be back at the Christ Church Jazz table this Thursday 5th September to take bookings, menu choices and sell tickets for the events up to Christmas.
On October 7th we welcome Djanco to Southport & Birkdale Sports Club. Hot Club Jazz with a twist. The quartet’s virtuosic interplay between violin and guitar creates high octane jazz, in the Django/Grapelli mould. Andy Aitchison’s violin with Thom Whitworth on guitar is both astonishing and delightful – a phenomenal toe tapping evening. We have seen them before at the Bijou and they were excellent.
For £25 your inclusive dinner will be a choice of :- Fabulous Fish Chips & Mushy Peas; Serious Steak and Ale Pie with Creamy Mash and Garden Peas or Voracious Vegetarian Casserole with Sough Bread
6.30 pm Drinks in the main room overlooking the cricket pitch
7.00 pm Our Meal is served
8.00 pm Music Starts
8.45 pm Short interval to replenish drinks
9.15 pm Music
10.00 pm Ends
