The speaker at our March meeting was Paul Isherwood, rather different from our usual choice of topics.
Paul is a Buff Butler and was happy to share anecdotes from this challenging career. He has been a Butler in the Buff since 2008 so is obviously very experienced.
Apparently, back in the day, this service was very popular at Ann Summers parties, but as these are now less fashionable, he entertains at hen parties, divorce parties and even Ladies Day at Aintree.
A memorable appointment was following the hearse (in the buff of course) of a lady who had sadly passed away but had so enjoyed his butlering at her 90th birthday party her last wish was that he should walk behind her coffin.
He had lots of good advice for anyone considering this line of work, for example always tie your apron at the front and keep your hand on the knot. Paul had once appeared at a swingers party but did not recommend this sort of venue, but he had enjoyed a stint at a ‘Life Drawing Hen Party’ and was considering this role again as he found it less strenuous.
Paul lives in Blackpool, tells us he doesn’t use fake tan and is currently not in a relationship. We think this picture was taken several years ago.
