This week saw the first of the three Try Sailing Days at the West Lancs Yacht Club, where sixteen u3a members were able to have a day sailing yachts on the Southport Marine Lake.
The members were able to navigate their own three-man boats with the help of an experienced yacht club sailor. It was a beautiful day for sailing with a light breeze and beautiful sunshine.
Halfway through the day, members were treated to a home-made lunch produced by the yacht club staff.
All agreed it was a great experience!
