Allan Jones from the camera club. led Walking group 4 on an outing to Grassendale park , Otterspool Promenade , Albert dock then coffee and cake at the Tate Modern Café. Here is his summary of the day.
We all collected on the Mersey rail train after 0930 at various stations, alighted at Cressington station and walked through the Grassendale private village down to the water front. then weaving the way back to Otterspool promenade (No public right of way into Grassendale ) Then along the prom and into the Festival gardens for lunch, after lunch along the prom to The Albert Dock for Coffee , but some needed to rush to J Lewis ! A great day was had by all 15 walkers with plenty of sunshine and blue skies and NO RAIN .
Our walking groups get out and about at any time of the year and I’m sure some of them may have been disappointed that it stayed dry!
