One of Southport u3as newest groups, the Sunday Lunch group, kicked off their events with lunch at Dukes, in Ainsdale.
The lunch was very well attended, with 47 members packing the upstairs function room. Despite the crowd, the staff did well and everybody seemed to enjoy the meal.
A foodie quiz had been provided, which gave rise to much discussion around the tables. After the answers were revealed, two tables had tied on an impresive 27/33, bringing out a tie breaker. Both teams also got the answer to that correct, but the prize went to the one which shouted loudest.
For a first event, this was really well organised and thanks must go to Karen, Deb and Christine for their hard work.
