Twenty nine members of Out And About hit the Southport Tenpin bowling alley this morning, to show off their spares, strikes and (unfortunately) splits.
It’s fair to say that there was a true mixture of abilities present. A friendly competition was set up, with individual prizes for the highest scoring lady and man. Those who had bowled regularly (even if 40 years prior) excluded themselves to make the competition fair.
After a hard fought, 2-game, session, the points tallied, recounts demanded and riot police avoided, we had two winners. For the men, Rob came home top with 107, whilst for the ladies Rowen showed the way with 116. They are pictured below, being presented with their priceless trophies (okay £5 notes).
A nice way to spend a couple of hours, meeting and beating new friends, on a snowy morning.
Thanks must go to Ethan at Southport Tenpin for his excellent service and battles against the rogue software.
