For those of us involved in Out And About it has only been running since the middle of March, yet we have packed in an enormous amount already.
We started with Brenda’s famous Daffodil Walk and have followed it up with Afternoon Tea, Acrylic Workshop, A Chester walk which was so popular we have just run another one! A tour of Anfield, Chocolate Whirled, Flat green bowls, 3 Amazon Fulfilment tours!, A visit to the Little Theatre to watch The Good Life. And a trip to the Western Approaches Museum!!
In June 2024 alone, coming up, we have A Visit to the Shakespeare North Theatre for a production of Twelfth Night, A Walk to Hilbre island, A Visit to the Commercial Vehicles Museum, A Tour of the Atkinson and a Try Sailing Day.
And this is followed up by a full programme well into the Autumn.
So far, we have had well over 600 bookings for the events we have running, so we are providing a new outlet for our members to enjoy.
All these events are being run by different members (over 22 so far) and we are grateful that they have come forward to organise them. However, we would like more volunteers to come forward either with their own ideas or pick up some existing ones. It works very well – depending on the event and the leader, you can either organise it yourself, or with my help. I do the website and all the background admin and sort out money, so you are the front person and the leader on the day. I stay in support.
