Local History continued their programme in October with walks entitled “The seven original streets of Liverpool” with Ann Marshall.
We needed to take two groups as there was such a demand for this walk.
Ann is an interesting and informative guide and she took us way back in time when there were fields around the city centre and the Mersey came up as far as the Strand (which is a word meaning beach!) We also heard all about Liverpool Castle.
The first group were lucky enough to have a dry day but the second group were not so lucky but they persevered.. A Hardy Bunch!
We are looking forward to doing more walks with Ann next year.
